The 2001 Underwater Hockey European Championships were held in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. To enter cost each player an estimated £750. Players largely fund themselves, with some contributions from sponsors.

The Great Britian Ladies took 2 teams to participate in the "Senior Elite Women" category.
